What payment methods does Brass Reminders accept?
Brass Reminders gladly accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Diners Club credit and debit cards online or over the phone.
To pay by check or money order, mail check and order to the address above. Note that we may convert your check into an electronic debit. A $35 service charge is added to any check or money order returned to us from the bank for any reason.
Sorry, we do not accept COD orders.
How will my order be shipped?
All orders ship by USPS priority mail or United Parcel Service. Most orders ship in about two weeks from the Lexington, KY area. Please allow 3-6 days time in transit after shipping to receive your order. Shipping charges are based on quantity/weight of items purchased. Note that items sold in bulk will count as 1 item in determining shipping costs.
Are there any discounts for buying in quantity?
We offer quantity discounts based upon the number of items you buy for shipment to one address at one time. These discounts are automatically applied in your shopping cart. Please note that wristbands and decals do not count toward discounts.
What is your return policy?
Items that have been personalized are not returnable unless defective. All claims for defective items, mis-shipments, or shortages must be made within 14 days of receipt of product. Claims for products damaged in shipment must be received within 7 days. You must retain the shipping carton for any item damaged in shipment. UPS will not issue damage credit without the original shipping carton.
Apparel items for "featured names" may be returned for exchange or refund within 30 days, provided they have not been worn, washed or altered, and have the original tag attached. Returns without the original tag, or if the tag has been removed and re-attached, will not be credited.
Apparel items for custom names are not returnable unless defective or mis-shipped. All claims for defective items, mis-shipments or shortages MUST be made within 14 days of receipt of product.
Why should I buy wristbands from Brass Reminders?
• We are a 15 year old company that added wristbands to our line when they became "hot," not a new company that started up this year to take advantage of the fad and then disappear.

Why can't I order bracelets online?
We have a checklist we want to walk you through over the phone to insure we make your custom silicone wristbands exactly how you want. In addition, we can make suggestions that will be helpful to you in designing your personalized silicone wristbands.
Where are these silicone wristbands made?
Proudly in the USA! We are one of the very few that made this product 100% in the USA. That means the wristbands are molded here and debossed here. They have the mark "Made in USA" on the inside of each band. Surprisingly, some of the largest companies that make these wristbands are buying cheaper, Chinese-molded blank wristbands and merely debossing them here. You might be pleased with their quality, but if you could compare them side by side with the USA-made silicone bracelets, you would note a significant difference.
Can I mix colors?
Absolutely! As long as your design is the same, you can mix colors at no extra charge. For example, you can get 100 red, 100 green, and 300 black and qualify for the 500 piece price bracket, as long as the design is the same on all wristbands.
Do you have multi-color or swirled colors?
No, these are Chinese-made products. To the best of our knowledge, no one in America is making multi-color or swirl wristbands here. There are companies that buy Chinese-made swirl rubber bracelets and deboss them here, but in most cases, you will find the quality usually is not up to par with the USA-made solid color bands. If we find a Chinese silicone bracelet manufacturer with similar quality to the American-made solid bands, we will add them.
Do you have the wristbands with the design printed in a different color ink?
No we only manufacture the “debossed” style wristbands. This is the type with the design melted down into the band. There is no ink to ever fade or flake off. The design is the same color as the wristband, just recessed down into the silicone.
What sizes do you have?
We have adult (202mm x 12mm x 2mm) and youth (180mm x 12mm x 2mm) sizes available. These are the EXACT same size as the popular Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG wristbands.
Can I mix sizes on my order?
Yes, on orders of 500 pieces or more, we can combine youth and adult sizes. For example, you could get 250 youth size and 250 adult size with the same design and you would qualify for the 500 piece price bracket. On orders less than 500 pieces, youth and adult are treated as separate orders. For example, 125 youth size and 125 adult size would be treated as 2 separate orders of 125 pieces each, even though they had the same design.
Is there a limit to how many letters I can put on the wristband?
No way! Unlike other companies that limit the number of characters you can use, we do not! There is a 3.5” marking area on the adult size and a 2.5” marking area on the youth size. Anything you can fit in that area can be debossed. We can cram a lot in there, but generally speaking, the less you put on the wristband, the better it looks.
Can I have a logo or graphic put on the wristbands?
Absolutely. This is what sets Brass Reminders apart from our competition. We have been in business for over 15 years serving the college bookstore industry, among others. We are set up to add logos and graphics to everything we do quickly and efficiently. Because of this, there is absolutely no extra cost to add your logo to the wristbands. You will need to send it to us in an email attachment in one of the following formats: .AI .CDR .EPS .JPG .GIF Be sure all fonts are converted to curves and send it to: email@example.com If you want to completely lay the wristband out yourself, the debossing area on the adult size is 3.45" x 0.35" and for the youth size the debossing area is 3.0" x 0.35".
We don't have a logo; can we just get a paw print or soccer ball by the name on the wristband?
Yes. We have thousands of stock graphics available; unfortunately, we can't show them to all to you. A very limited selection can be viewed here. Just tell us what you want and we'll add it to your text. We'll also send you a proof so you can see it at no extra charge before we make your wristbands.
Can I have something put on the opposite side of the wristband?
Yes, but it is expensive. We start with blank bands, press them flat and load them into a holding fixture. A machine comes down and melts the design in. In order to do a second side, we have to take it out, change designs, load it back in and repeat the process. For this reason, second side debossing is an extra $1.00 per band. We suggest fitting everything on one side to save money.
Is anything on the inside of the wristbands?
Yes. The words "Made in USA" are on the inside all our bracelets.
Can I see a proof of how my wristband will look before you make it?
Yes. Upon request, we can send a proof by e-mail showing the layout of your wristband if you desire. There is no charge for this service, but make sure to request it, as we do not automatically send a proof with each and every order. If you don't like the layout, we will work with it until you are satisfied prior to making your custom bracelets.
Can I get a sample wristband?
Yes, but there is a $10 charge. We will send a sample of a wristband we have done for someone else, not your design. You can request the color or colors you want to see, up to two. Sorry, the $10 does not apply to any future orders; it covers the cost of sending out samples. We suggest you save the money and compare the colors online or look them up in a Pantone book. PMS numbers are online next to the pictures.
How long does it take to make my wristbands?
Brass Reminders usually has one of the fastest turn around times in the nation, currently around 10 business days. You can check our current lead times at the bottom of the website. It is updated daily and gives the precise shipping date for orders placed that day.
Can I get my order any faster?
Rush shipments are sometimes available, depending on our production capacity at the time, and the amount of orders in front of you. When they are available, a one week rush costs $0.50 per band and two week rush costs $0.25 per band. A one week rush means your order will ship from Kentucky exactly one week after placing the order. There are “red lights” and “green lights” on the bottom of the web page showing if rush service is currently available. We also can ship your order next day air, 2 day air, or 3 day air if you are willing to pay the extra UPS charge.
I need my custom silicone wristbands even faster. Is there anything we can do?
Sometimes 3 day rushes and 1 day rushes are available, but these are quite costly. A three day rush adds $1.00 per band to the prices shown, and a one day rush adds $1.50 per band to the prices shown. We must arrange for these to be run overnight and this is not always available. You MUST call us to see if this is currently available. NOTE: Minimum rush charge for 1 day and 3 day rushes is $100.
We are doing a fundraiser. Any suggestions for fundraiser bracelets?
Yes! If you are ordering fundraiser bracelets, consider ordering two colors instead of just one. We don't charge extra to split colors and you will have many people who will want to buy one of each. We suggest selling the wristbands for $3.00 each, 2 for $5.00, or 10 for $20.00 If your fundraiser is for a non-profit, many “big-box” type discount stores will allow you to set up a folding table in front of their entry door. Make a sign that says “Free wristband with a $3.00 donation. Many people will hand you a $5.00 bill and won't even take a wristband!
How do I pay for my order?
When you call and place your order we will ask you for a Visa or Mastercard for payment. All orders must be pre-paid.
Can I mail a check instead?
Yes you can, but the order will not ship until the check has cleared the bank, and we do not begin to process your order until the check has been received. That means, for example, if it takes 3 days to get the check via mail, your ship date will be set back 3 days from the date we quoted you on the phone. Obviously this does not work for "rush" orders.
I am purchasing custom silicone bracelets for a school. Can you accept a P.O.#?
Yes, Brass Reminders accepts purchase orders from public and private schools, colleges, and universities, as long as the school is responsible for payment. Private groups in the school are required to pre-pay if the school or school district is not liable for payment. Purchase orders are also accepted from government agencies, but all other orders must be pre-paid. Please note that even though you called the order in, until we have the actual P.O. faxed to us at (859) 887-5394 we do not begin processing your order. That means, for example, if it takes 3 days to get the P.O. printed and faxed in, your ship date will be set back 3 days from the date we quoted you on the phone.
We are a non-profit organization. Do you offer any discounts for us?
We truly understand the importance of your cause and you are right to feel people and businesses should make exceptions and support your efforts. In the wristband business, the majority of our orders are from schools, charities, groups raising money for a stricken individual, disaster relief, or other non-profit organizations. Therefore the prices shown on our website are the best prices available for all customers, including charities. We are dedicated to offering high quality yet cheap custom silicone wristbands.
Where do you ship from, and how much will shipping cost me?
All shipments come from our factory in Lexington , KY. We have a flat rate shipping of $8.00 per order regardless of how many pieces you order. This is good for 48 states only. AK, HI, and US Territories are quoted separately based on weight.
Do you ship internationally?
No. Currently, we ship our silicone wristbands to addresses in the USA only.
All the other companies have mold charges. Why do I not see that on your website?
We are one of only a few companies in the nation using a new “moldless” technique to deboss these custom silicone wristbands. Because of this we can offer small quantities (as low as 40 pieces) economically. The price you see published has everything rolled into it. You pay only shipping ($8.00 in the 48 continental states) in addition to the per piece wristband price.
Do you have lower pricing for larger quantities?
Yes. We have substantial price breaks available for 10,000 and greater pieces. Call for a quote.
I found another company with a cheaper price. Should I be concerned about their quality?
Possibly. First find our where the wristbands are made. If it's China , we have found an incredible range of quality running from very good to downright terrible, and everywhere in between. Some companies advertise silicone bracelets “Made in USA,” but actually import blank bands from China and mark them here. You are subject to receiving the same quality wristbands from them as you would receive from China.
How do your prices compare with other manufacturers?
To the best of our ability to research the market, we have the lowest prices available in quantities from 40 – 999 and are extremely competitive, if not the lowest, on 1,000 piece orders. That is because even though Chinese molders have lower piece prices, when you add in the steel mold that must be made and the shipping, we come out lowest. In the 5,000 piece bracket we cannot be as low as Chinese manufacturers. Making our wristbands 100% in America , we pay a competitive hourly rate plus benefits to our employees. We will never be able to match prices on large orders from Chinese factories that pay workers $1.00 per day. However, if you want a USA made product, our price is the lowest we know of among manufacturers with similar quality. (Read “between the lines” on that statement!)
Can I place a retail order for individual decals through your website?
Currently, only wholesale decal orders can be processed through our online system. If a retail order is input, it is unable to be processed. If you wish to place a retail order, please call us toll-free at (888) 272-7773.
Which Euro fields may be customized?
Every Euro decal has three fields that may be customized: a Top Line around the upper curve, a Bottom Line around the lower curve, and Initials across the center.
When placing an order, please take into consideration that different designs may have differing degrees of legibility. We generally put white text over a dark background and black text over a light background. However, for decals with an object in the middle (such as wildlife, a landmark, etc), we recommend the Initials field be left blank, so as not to obscure the design.
Please be sure you enter your text the way you wish it to appear, whether upper and lower case, or all capitals.
How do I select the right size?
Please see our Product Information page for apparel sizes. Adult sizes are for both men and women. Kids sizes look like an age, but are in fact, a size. They are not the same as the child's age. They are generally for grade school children.
Will the garments shrink?
Our T-shirts are a pre-shrunk 90/10 cotton/poly blend. Sweatshirts and Hoodies are 50/50. While not guaranteed, shrinkage is not expected, and any that does occur should be minimal. Infant onesies and Toddler Long Sleeve T-Shirts are 100% cotton and may shrink as you would expect a cotton garment to do.
Are all the garments the same Sports Gray color? Can I get a different color?
Yes, all our apparel items except hats are the sports gray color. Our graphics have been designed especially for that color garment. You may order a different color in minimums of 24 per item/per design.
Are the Sweatshirt/Hoodie sizes bigger than the same size T-Shirt?
Yes. The sweatshirts and hoodies are generously sized to be used as outerwear, over another shirt.
Why are there only a few "Featured Names?"
Each month we select a few last names to make apparel products for. Because we make so many of the same name at a time, we can offer these names only are discounted prices. The next month we move on to different featured names, so there are only a few names featured at a time.
Can I order apparel for a name other than the featured names?
Absolutely! You can order any name at any time. Because we're making one garment, rather than an economical batch, prices are just a little higher than our featured name pricing, but still represent an outstanding value. Note that hats are only offered in featured names. All other items are available for custom orders. Please use the custom name button on our home page. (Directly under the featured name drop down box.)
Can I place an order for apparel for a featured name after the deadline?
Certainly, however you will be charged custom name pricing rather than the special featured name pricing. Use the custom name button on our home page. (Directly under the featured name drop down box.) Note: Hats are not available after the deadline.
Does the deadline apply to non-apparel items?
No. These items are personalized to order for all orders and can be ordered anytime at our lowest prices. The discount price deadline applies only to apparel items.
The red, white, and blue USA looks faded on the photos on your website. Why is that?
This is a popular technique called distressing to give the appearance of age. We only do this to the USA part of the two designs that use the USA graphic. Distressing is adding artificial cracks, wrinkles, and faded spots to the graphic. Note this is applied to the design only, not the garment. The garment looks, and is brand new, only the graphic is made to look aged.
I ordered a "Featured Name" for myself and also a custom name for a friend. When I received my order, the blue ink was a slightly different shade on each one. Is this normal?
Yes. For featured names, we send out postcards and receive orders for large amounts of these names. These items are made in large batches. Custom names are made one at a time only when someone orders them. We use a different process for large batches than for one-at-a-time production. Both come out beautifully, but some shade variation is normal.
How soon will my order ship?
Most orders ship in approximately 2 weeks. Shipping time is an additional 2-6 days depending on your proximity to our Lexington, KY plant.
Can the order be rushed?
Apparel items are produced on a tightly controlled production schedule and cannot be rushed. Some giftware items may be rushed, some may not. Please call (888) 272-7773 to inquire. Some gift items such as custom wristbands and memorial decals carry an extra fee for rush service, but can ship as fast as one day to be used at a funeral service .
How did you get my name? Can I be taken off your list?
We use a mailing company to send postcards to households with our featured names. We do not maintain a mailing list here at Brass Reminders. The mailing lists are purchased through a list broker, so we have no way of removing your name from their lists. If our solicitation offended you in any way, please accept our apologies. It is unlikely you will receive any further mailings from us because there are tens of thousands of last names out there and we only feature a few each month.
Will I receive more mailings to remind me to order in the future?
Probably not. As mentioned above, there are tens of thousands of last names out there and we only feature a few each month. More than likely, you won't ever get another postcard from us. You can always bookmark our website to return later, but even if you don't plan to use these until later, order now while featured name pricing is available.
Will I receive an e-mail confirmation of my order?
If you provide us an e-mail address when you place your order on-line you will receive an e-mail confirmation when the order is placed. You will not receive an order confirmation if your order is placed by phone, fax, or mail. Regardless how you place the order, if you give us an e-mail address you will receive an e-mail confirmation when your order ships giving you the tracking number.
I want to order the same style and color of pen with several different names. I can only type in one name on the order form. How do I do this?
Select the style and color of pen you want, and enter the name. Add to cart on the bottom of the page. Then on the shopping cart page, click “Continue Shopping.” You will then be able to order the same pen and color in a different name.
I want to order apparel items for multiple names. Can I do this on one order?
As long as they are all shipping to the same address. Each shipping address requires a separate order. To do this, use the continue shopping button on the shopping cart to return to the page where you type in the custom name.
Will you sell my e-mail address?
Absolutely not! All information provided to us stays with us. We do not rent, sell, or share our customer information with anyone for any reason.
Do you have a catalog?
No, our products are viewable only on line and on the postcards we mail to our feature name households each month.
